About Us

The 9G Kneeboard originated from the innovative mind of the original owner of Hendricks Sewing Co. in the mid-1990s. It underwent rigorous flight testing at Eglin AFB, where it proved its reliability even under extreme conditions, earning its name from its ability to stay securely in place even during 9 Gs of acceleration. Notably, it has consistently remained steadfast through numerous emergency ejections, firmly staying on the pilot’s knee.

Since its inception, Hendricks Sewing Co. has manufactured over 35,000 9G Kneeboards for supply to the U.S. Armed Forces, with adoption extending to NATO military forces as well.

The reliability of the Hendricks Kneeboard was further validated through testing by NAVAIR, resulting in its exclusive approval for use in Naval aircraft. This approval was granted following the incorporation of numerous safety enhancements derived from the testing process. These critical design modifications may not be present in alternative products, potentially posing a significant risk to pilot safety, particularly during carrier landings or emergency ejections.
